Usage related data and meta data is collected to operate our services and their ensure their functionalities. E.g. we log all your requests with your IP-adress so we can take action against abuse and attacks on our systems.
Usage related data is also used to get anonymous statistics about users of our services.
Content-data is necessary for some functionalities of our services, we only ask for them if they are part of a feature. E.g. you need to enter a text so we can convert it for you.
Publicly available data is collected for research and to provide services like searchable databases.

Our legal basis for collecting and processing data to ensure operation of our services is Art. 6 (1f) DSGVO. For collecting and processing content-data it is Art. 6 (1a/b) DSGVO.

Deletion
We delete our data in accordance with Art. 17/18 DSGVO. If not stated otherwise data is deleted as soon as it is not needed to fulfill their determination.
Logfiles, containing usage related data and meta data is saved for up to 6 months. So we are able to reconstruct abuse and attacks. This also might be needed to have evidence for legal actions taken.
(Anonymous) Data collected for statistics is saved for up to 1 month.
Data collected via "mdwntopdf.alexanderebhart.de" is saved for up to 7 days. So you can download converted files for a few days before they get deleted.
